the online live music gig guide for birmingham & the midlands

Nazca Planes

the Nazca Planes are a four piece indie rock band from a small ex-mining town called Rugeley in Staffordshire. they write songs about escape, excess, love and fighting and about the pretty girl behind the checkout who comes alive for two nights a week at the best pub this town has to offer. the Nazca Planes are a means of escape. a way to fight back against the prejudice that is sill found in small towns. heres some stuff: The Nazca Planes have played gigs all over the midlands. they supported the jeeps at the Carling Academy in birmingham, they have toured New Zealand in 05, which they booked and financed themselves, they have appeared on Kerrang Radio's the Ugly Phil Breakfast Show and won the staffordshire open music prize for the song 'nightfall'. recent gigs have included the Actress & Bishop and Scruffy Murphys, both in birmingham.
